I am a trained artist and art teacher with worldwide contacts through my work. I have been successfully employing various techniques and media over many years, evidence of which is portrayed, conservatively, in this exhibition and on the EVA website.

I enjoy the challenge of THE NEW:-
NEW MEDIA, NEW TECHNIQUES, and NEW SUBJECTS.
I particularly like the struggle of depicting buildings and industrial scenery such as coalmines and their sites and, in amongst this, I like drawing people (including portraits).

However, my one abiding love amongst all this is the creation of all subject matter in large and small montages. I feel the need to capture and record the fast-vanishing backdrops and characters of, not just my neighbourhood but of any transient area. I have carried out such pieces for public places in my locality such as schools and restaurants.

Although I have spent my lifetime producing art, I feel…as do most artists…. that I love what I do. I look forward to even more experimentation and discovery in my work
