John Baker  E.V.A.

John has had a lifelong love of art that started with winning a school competition at the age of 15 yrs.
His Grandmother then enrolled him in a postal course with the London College of Art the next year.

Work commitments prevented him from carrying on with his art for several years, and it was in his fifties that he started painting – purely for his own satisfaction.

He moved into the South Wales area in 1993 and he enrolled at Pontypool College as a Mature Student on the Art Course. He was at the college for four years.

A friend persuaded him to take over teaching a class on the death of Windsor Grimes. And he taught his class for four years.

John enjoys many commissions for his work, particularly of animals. He especially enjoys painting aircraft, tractors, cars, birds and flowers.
